The need for prosthetics has never been greater. Due in large part to the wounds and injuries sustained by our Green Berets during the past 10 years of the War on Terror, great advances have been made in providing these men with sophisticated prosthetics that assist in their return to engaging in everyday activities - often enabling a return to duty.
This is not an inexpensive proposition. In the photo at left, a wounded Green Beret has returned to duty. His modified M4 costs about $5,000. The expense of the knee, lower leg and foot are about five times that cost. His service to America is, as with all Green Berets, absolutely priceless.

In 2006 while deployed in support of OIF, a mortar round blinded CPT. Ivan Castro. Today CPT. continues to serve as the only blind Green Beret on active duty. Just as ultra-challenging events define CPT. Castro, we realize that vision and sensory problems can be and are overcome.
